Pretty In Pink!

This week's Outlines Challenge, Pretty in Pink!

I made this card coloring with different pink shades of Copic markers, inspiration for my daughter's upcoming first birthday!

Flowers are Prima flowers, glistened with a pretty pink rhinestone and some pink lace ribbon I had to simulate a birthday banner!

Halloween/Fall Outlines Theme

This week I chose an Outlines pumpkin stamp and decided to glitz it up a bit with Stickles and a few dew drops! The words are also an Outlines stamp with several phrases; this was taped off and inked only to show these certain words!

Pumpking layering shapes were created using Spellbinders dies.

Outlines - Lots of Layers

This week's Outlines rubber stamp challenge was lots of layers! I decided to layer up some patterened DCWV papers and add a favorite Outlines stamp. The center frame is doubled up and layered with the ghost "popped" as well!

These are defiantely not my traditional fall or Halloween colors, but I think I like the combination!

Feeling like Fall

Feeling like Fall...Outlines Challenge...and acorns always remind me of fall.

Picking up acorns and pinecones from trees with orange and yellow leaves, my inspiration for the colors of this card. Difficult to tell from the picture, but the pinwheel acutally spins, all three layers!

Beautiful Borders - Outlines Challenge 15

With somewhat cooler weather approaching next week, I decided with the Beautiful Borders challenge this week to create my border using one of Outlines pumpkins rubber stamps. The small pumpkin used to create my border is paired with another outlines stamp, a set of three pumpkins.

Spellbinders were used to create the pumpkin shapes, paper from the DCVW retro mat stack and ribbon which was cut down to size and given some effect using my pinking shears!

The pumpkins were colored with a variety of Copic markers, along with Stickles and Dew Drops for some added sparkle and texture!
The cooler weather coming, along with these pumpkins, has me ready for pumpkin pickin' and hay rides! C'mon fall!

Outlines - 4 Legged Friends

My entry for this weeks Outlines Challenge - 4 Legged Friends. I would friend a reindeer anytime, but especially if it brought me some cooler weather!
Rather hard to tell from the picture, but this is colored with Copics and then diamond glaze put over the reindeer. Smooch colors used for the greens on the antlers and green dots from Michael's craft store.

Sumertime - Outlines Challenge 13

My Summertime Flowers card for this weeks Outlines Challenge 13 - Summer!

The stamp is Outlines, colors with Prismacolor pencils and blended with Gamsol.
Nestabilities were used to create the scalloped circles and a cuttlebug folder for the embossed floral background.

The ribbon is a glimmer sheer orange and yellow, which reminded me of the sun. Pebbles chalk used to enhance the embossing and around the edges of scallops.

I wish my flower garden looked like that this year, but alas, the heat has taken its toll...

My card for this week's Outlines Challenge 12: Lovely with Lace!!!

This one started off with some lace, stamped with an Outlines image and sparkled up just a little bit for some added texture. A few stickles, dew drops, liquid pearls and a flower from the stash bin make up this simple Thank you!

Thinking Cool in all this Heat! Outlines Weekly Challenge 11

Now that we've had nearly 45 days of 100 degree heat this summer, I'm ready to start thinking COOL! Thinking snow, which always reminds me of Christmas.

Beginning with Christmas trees and words from Outlines Rubber Stamps, I colored with Copics, in different shades of our inspiration greens. I used paper from a DCWV stacks and layerd with some cuttlebug embossing. Green tinsel ribbon was from my ribbon stash! A little glimmer mist and stickles for some shimmery effect and wa-lah!

My Reason...

The title of this post says it all for me now!
She is my reason, in many ways!

But in the sense of relating to crafting, my reason for falling behind :)
I began to craft just a little bit back in February, however, that didn't last long as being a mommy was just too important. All of my time has been dedicated to playing, snuggling, and caring for my beautiful daughter! I want to soak up every moment of her young childhood, as we know all too well, how fast the time goes...

What brings me back to my blog is an upcoming Copic certification class that my mom brougt to my attention (Thank you, Mom!) I am going to attend this class with her next month, and look forward to learning how to properly use my stash of Copic markers!

With every new milestone, page layouts pop up in my head! I think its high time to get some of these ideas down onto paper! Longer naptimes now make for perfect scrapping time! "Sorry dear, the kitchen is a wreck but look at this layout I got done today!" 8-)

Time flies!

So I had a little girl, just shy of 3 months ago and I haven't crafted much since my awful morning sickness kicked my rump! So much of my time is spent playing and just holding my baby girl that my crafting has taken a back seat. I did lots of crafts over the holidays, but never took pics to post :( But, it's time to get back into the swing of things! Luckily I have kept up with all the newest cricut carts and new goodies. Time to put all these new carts to good use and scrap this baby girl before time gets away from me again!

Hope everyone has been doing well and can't wait to visit some blogs to get some fresh new ideas for crafting!

Got my Mojo back.....

So I'm now 26 weeks pregnant and feeling great - great enough to do some scrapping and crafting with one problem....I have NO scrapbooking space at the moment :(

We've had our entire house recarpeted and our kitchen redone, so my things are everywhere! Wish me luck in the next few weeks everything should get back to normal and I will have a chance to do some creating before our precious baby girl arrives this fall!

Where Have I Been?

So, I've been MIA for over 3 months. Well, I've just been sick and tired and nauseous...I'm expecting our first BABY!!! WOOHOO!!! The little one is due at the beginning of November and we are SO EXCITED! Just the past few days, I think the morning sickness if FINALLY subsiding, LOL, I thought it would never go away!

We go to the doc on Thursday to hopefully find out the gender of this little one and then, let the buying begin! Actually, we've already purchased the crib, dresser/hutch and several boxes of diapers - yup, just a little excited!

In the midst of this all, Friday we are scheduled to begin a kitchen makeover (new sink, stove, microwave, dishwasher and granite coutertops!) We are also doing new carpeting and tile as well as the (tiny) master bath before little one comes! Whew!

I'm hoping to start the creating again soon, the last thing I made was the card posted in February; I've definatley missed creating, but sure haven't had the energy to do it AT ALL! Hope to get some new things posted soon!

A little something...Sarah Kay

So this is my very 1st attempt at stitching on a card with my Janome Sew Mini! The stamp is a Sarah Kay Stampavie, some random papers and a few ribbons and a button! Too cute, I think :)

Diaper Cake DONE!

So here we go! All done - phew!!! There are roughly 150 diapers in a swirled design on this cake! It was not supposed to be this tall, but just ended up that way, LOL! The bottom is 16" round with the tiers being spaced all the way up from there!

All of the cricut cuts were done with the New Arrival cartridge, the giraffe and rattle are from Target and the shoes from Babies 'R US!
The bib on the bottom is hand crotched by my mom! Thanks Mom!

The nursery colors are chocolate brown, pink, lime and tan - so this fits perfectly I think! It is set upon a thick cardboard base covered with foil and silver wrapping paper!

My 1st diaper cake is underway!

I started this diaper cake for a friend that I work with who is due to have her 2nd little girl in March! Her shower is this Thursday, so I will post the completed pictures SOON! This is the beginning stages of how I created it though.

New Ink Storage Spinning Tower

I am totally loving this new ink storage tower that was given to me for my birthday! (Thanks mom and dad!) It holds all the SU ink that I have, staz-on, and others! It also has slots for re-inkers, markers or colored pencils and plenty of storage on top for my glues nd goodies!

Whew! I was able to free up several drawers so I can buy some more goodie to fill those up too, right!
