Everett got his hat on Oreo a couple of times, but Oreo got it off just as fast as it went on! I was able to catch a few pics though! What a good puppy! Another simple layout! UGH! Why can't I make a more intricate layout!

This layout took me forever for some reason...kinda hard to tell, but the edges are all distressed using scissors, some ribbon, couple of metal embellishments and the Simply Sweet cricut cartridge for the lettering! Thanks Mom for picking up my camera - if it weren't for you, I wouldn't have these pics and I love them!

Another simply layout. Love those ears! Added some ribbon, used some glimmer mist on chipboard, little bit of paper tearing and there you go!

Oreo's 1st scrapbook page

So I haven't scrapped a page in over a month and it really took some effort to get the energy up to do this one! It's simple, but I do like the way it turned out! I didn't want to add too much because the background is busy! Feel free to give your suggestions if it needs something else added to it! Hope you like it too!

Now, keep in mind this picture was taken through chain link...not too bad, huh! There are now a couple of these critters at our zoo and so much fun to watch! Enjoy!

Lions, Tigers and Bears, Oh my!!!

So today we decided to take a quick trip to the zoo since it was cloudy out, great breeze and was only supposed to get into the upper 80's! It was a great day out there and the animals seemed happy to have a break from the 100 degree days!

Fireworks from our backyard

We had a great display of fireworks both Friday and Saturday nights here...Friday night, Everett and I went to the park to watch them (Friday was dedicated to all military personnel) and the display couldn't have been better...after the philharmonic stopped playing, the rest were put to music and it was fantastic!

Saturday is POURED and we had quite the thunderstorm that afternoon...the show went on, but with scattered lightening, we stayed home and watched the show from our patio out back! Hope everyone else had a great 4th of July weekend!
