Oreo meeting Santa Claus

Okay, so back to the dogs! I've got to get their layouts done so I can get all the animal stuff out of my way! I'm surrounded by pet papers! This was Oreo's first Christmas with our family so he HAD to meet Santa! I think he liked him :)

This layout was all done using the Cricut Christmas solutions cartridge and a Martha Stewart punch! Pretty simple really, but I didn't want to overwhelm the photo! Enjoy!

When I was a little girl...

This layout was pretty different for me - it is a more detailed layout than I normally do, but I must say that I really do like the way this one turned out. It looks better in person than it does in the pic, but you get the idea.
The flowers are cut from Graphically Speaking, layered and placed on with pop dots. The other cuts are from Storybook and Home Accents; the little fence cut is from Paper Doll Dress Up then run through the Cuttlebug and inked up.
Paper tearing, inking, a few brads and a few pearls! If I remember right, the paper is from the Laundry Line by My Mind's Eye! The bookplate I bought at Big Lots; printed a quite on vellem and there you go! I hope you like this one!

Kong treat ball

I don't know why I keep choosing such bright colored paper for Oreo's layouts. I guess because he is such a dark color of dog I feel like the bright makes him stand out more! I will add some journaling of what usually went in the ball such as kibble, carrots, apples and treats - usually topped with peanut butter. This is what the dogs get every morning that I have to go to work! They seem to like it :)

Paint Can Swap

Recently I did a paint can swap on the Cricut MB and I asked for a puppy can! Isn't it cute! I think my partner did a great job! And I got some wonderful goodies that were stuffed inside! Thanks Patty!

Martha Stewart punch haul!

So I had a great day at Michaels and picking up some of the new MS punches!
I went to one Michaels this morning and picked up the leaf border and the pumpkin border - used a 50% and 40% off coupon! I was feeling pretty good since I got the graveyard border a few days back!

I had enough time to go to one more Michaels store this afternoon and just as I was walking in, here comes a lady rolling a basket full of boxes filled with the punches! Boy did I walk in at just the right time! I rolled my cart around a bit while she put up the pegs and labels and FINALLY started hanging the punches! Once she put out what I wanted, she let me reach over and grab them! YAY!

The cashier let me use 1 50% and 1 40% coupon on each set (spiderweb and loop set) and just did 2 transactions for all 4 punches!!!! That was awesome of her, especially since this Michaels store is usually pretty stingy! Now, I just need to creating with them!

My new pegboard towers!

So perusing Craigslist late last night, I found a post with a these 4-seded spinning pegboard racks! I couldn't believe my eyes - nothing like this ever happens around here! Well, this lady does craft mall booths and craft fairs and decided to go for a new look and no longer needed these! Yay for me!!!

I moved FAST to email and see if she still had them! Sure enough! I was able to meet her tonight at the local craft mall where she (and my mom) have a booth! Not bad for a few bucks and TONS of storage!!!! I see more shopping in my future to fill these things up!

Waiting for more pics to scrap!

Don't you just hate playing the waiting game!

I was working on a layout and decided the main picture wasn't big enough....so, I went back to order another one in a larger size and ended up placing a large order. So now I can't do anything until my larger picture comes in. Ugh! At least in the meantime some well-needed housework is getting done! Hopefully tomorrow I can sit down and make some cards with some of my newer stamp sets!

I'm also waiting for a couple of cricut cartridges that I've ordered to come in! A Child's Year and Life's a Beach! Why oh why does the mail seem to take FOREVER when you are waiting for something :)
